Smileys Childcare Agency Ltd can perform a CRB check for you, whether you are a Nanny, Mother’s Help, Babysitter or Child minder requiring a new CRB check or if you are a Parent employing a Nanny, Mother’s Help, Babysitter or Child minder and you would like a new CRB check done.

The cost for Smileys Childcare Agency Ltd to perform the CRB check is just £10, you will also have to pay for the CRB check which is £60.

Smileys Childcare Agency Ltd use a company called Civil & Corporate to carry out the CRB check. Once you have paid the £10 fee you will be asked to provide some relevant information so the CRB check can be performed.

• We require 5 years’ consecutive postal addresses (eg. mm/yyyy to mm/yyyy)
• Your National Insurance Number
• Any details of name/surname change (ie. If you got married – date you married) and you will need to provide a copy of your relevant Certificate/s)
• A copy of either your Counterpart Driving License or Passport

As soon as Smileys Childcare Agency Ltd receives this information the CRB will be carried out. You then will receive a text from Civil & Corporate with their contact number, you will need to contact them and pay the £60 over the phone, when you have paid the £60 they will process the CRB.

A CRB check can take up to 4 to 6 weeks to be completed so this does need to be considered if you are wanting a CRB check done before you start working in childcare or if you are looking to employ a new child carer to look after your children.
